Join High 5 Birmingham and Oddesty K & Associates as we partner with Sheriff Mark Pettway and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, as well as Birmingham City Schools, to host Saddle Up For Autism: A Day of Connection. This is a family fun event that provides an opportunity to raise awareness, educate on community and state resources and engage with local law enforcement and other community leaders who are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all.

Students registered and attending Birmingham City School’s Camp Wellness will engage in therapeutic equine activities that address common mental health concerns and teach emotion regulation and verbal expression of feelings. Students will also learn about careers in veterinary science and the anatomy of the horse.
